Oliver Jackson-Cohen, The Haunting of Hill House, Netflix

Following the success of The Haunting of Hill House, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, but as creator Mike Flanagan didn't feel the need to revisit the story of the Crain family, the new season will transform the show into an anthology series. Now titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, the second season will be based on "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James and feature a new story with all-new characters, but as we've seen, there will still be a few familiar faces.

The Wrap has reported that Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who played Luke Crain in the first season, has joined the cast of The Haunting of Bly Manor. The actor is reportedly set to play Peter, who has been described as a "charming fellow." Jackson-Cohen isn't the only actor from The Haunting of Hill House to be playing a new character in the follow-up, as Victoria Pedretti, who played Eleanor Crain, will be taking on the leading role of Dani, a governess who is looking after two unique children in an old country mansion. There aren't many other details on Oliver Jackson-Cohen's character, but it's said that he will interact with Pedretti's character. As far as who else might be returning, Carla Gugino, who played Olivia Crain, has previously teased that she's been "talking a lot" with Mike Flanagan about coming back should her schedule allow it.

Well, I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honored to… So we’re talking a lot about it and we’ll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I’m very excited for Season 2 and to see what Mike does.

It was also recently announced that Oliver Jackson-Cohen would be starring alongside Elisabeth Moss and Storm Reid in Leigh Whannell's take on THE INVISIBLE MAN for Blumhouse Productions. As far as The Haunting of Bly Manor, the new installment of the anthology series will debut on Netflix in 2020.
