When I was scrolling through some news outlets, there was one piece that I do a double take on to make sure I wasn’t seeing things.
“John C. Reilly up for a role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?”
What? Really? Reilly has voiced an animated game baddie and played several other colorful characters in the flesh…but a comic book character? Intriguing.
The role is question is that of Rhomann Dey, who would be like the Agent Coulson to GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Dey, former leader of Nova Corps serves as a go-between reporting on the activities of the Guardians to S.H.I.E.L.D. This means that Reilly could potentially take part in several other Marvel flicks.
There’s also news that Hugh Laurie, Alan Rickman, and Ken Watanabe are being looked at to serve as a colleague to Reilly’s Dey.
