Many of you have already seen, or are about to see, BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE by now, but director Zack Snyder isn't taking the time to enjoy a break, he's already moving on to his next big film, THE JUSTICE LEAGUE - PART ONE. With production on the film set to kick off in just over two weeks, Snyder has already been dropping teases about what will probably be the biggest film in the DC universe, until THE JUSTICE LEAGUE - PART TWO of course. For the spoiler wary among you, there will likely be a few minor ones below.

Snyder chatted with Yahoo Movies recently and said that the upcoming film will take some inspiration from Akira Kurosawa's SEVEN SAMURAI, as Ben Affleck's Batman will have to round up a group of heroes who don't necessarily want to play by the same rules.

I’m getting ready to start ‘Justice League’ on the 11th of April, so in like two weeks we start shooting, and it’s an intense, awesome, and gigantic undertaking because Bruce [Wayne] is having to go out and sort of ‘Seven Samurai’ the Justice League together, which is fun.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE introduced us to most of the core members of the Justice League, but there's still a ways to go before they join up to form a proper superhero team. Zack Snyder said the coming together of the heroes is a "slightly monumental” moment but that "at the same time they’re starting to grapple with this coming threat.” That coming threat is likely to be Darkseid, who was hinted at in a sequence during BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Despite the lukewarm reviews that BATMAN V SUPERMAN  has received (I'm off to see it myself tomorrow night, wish me luck) my enthusiasm for JUSTICE LEAGUE hasn't diminished as the thought of seeing all those great DC heroes finally joining forces on the big-screen still feels very cool.
