Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS is most definitely a reboot, but some people were left scratching their heads after watching the first trailer, since the title cards referred to the events from the orignal movie.

While speaking on The Johnjay & Rich Show, star Melissa McCarthy said she was also a little perplexed by the trailer. The actress said, "It's a reboot, not a remake. I know it's weird that they say [in the trailer] '30 years ago,' but in this movie it's like the first one didn't happen." McCarthy also went on to say "Believe me, the question was asked. I think it's very confusing," before jokingly adding "But then everyone said, 'We don't care what you think.'"

The GHOSTBUSTERS trailer is now the most disliked movie trailer in YouTube history, but the reboot was also recently voted as the most anticipated summer comedy. So even though most people aren't high on the film, it seems many are still planning on checking it out, and it'll be very interesting to see how the movie performs at the box office.

GHOSTBUSTERS will hit theaters on July 15, 2016.
