New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer shows us more of the shell-heads

A new trailer for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES has premiered and, while structurally the same as the previous one, we now get some new quick glimpses at Mikey, Donny, Leo, Raph, Shredder, and Splinter. The new scenes are compiled together quickly but we were happy enough to grab screenshots of as much as we could to satiate your excitement or fuel your rage, depending on where you fall regarding the Michael Bay produced movie.

The new trailer gives us some more ass-kicking fight scenes and really drives how how realistic the Turtles look. I definitely got a AVATAR feel in some of these sequences and couldn’t separate the CGI from reality which is a testament to how good the effects look in Jonathan Liebesman‘s movie. I have no major quarrel with the Shrek-like look of the Turtles as long as the movie itself is good. William Fichtner always kicks ass and Megan Fox looks…tolerable.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg. It hits theaters on August 8th, 2014.
