Quentin Tarantino’s Top 20 Films of 2010

Should ever Quentin Tarantino ever find himself bored in between writing and directing his movies, he could probably have a career as one of the best film critics out there. Sadly we only hear dribs and drabs of what Tarantino likes as far as modern cinema but the auteur recently passed along a list of his favorite movies of 2010 and the results may or may not surprise you.

TOY STORY 3 topped the list and was not the only animated film to make an appearance. Both TANGLED and HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON also made appearances on Tarantino’s Top 20 films of 2010. The list was presented to the Tarantino Archives without commentary with the exception of one comment on Gasper Noe’s ENTER THE VOID, which came in at #10 (“Hands down best credit scene of the year … Maybe best credit scene of the decade. One of the greatest in cinema history.”).

Looks like Tarantino is a big Jonah Hill fan as both of the actor’s summer comedies – CYRUS and GET HIM TO THE GREEK – made the list. Love that ANIMAL KINGDOM is getting some major love as, so far, it seems to be getting ignored during Oscar season.

Here is Tarantino’s list below and I’m curious to see what you find interesting, surprising, correct, incorrect, etc. about the list below. I’d love to have just a little explanation on some of these choices but for now this’ll have to do.
