The Devil All the Time & its all-star cast heads to Netflix this September

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Netflix wants us to be ready for the highly-anticipated release of their upcoming psychological thriller, THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock and is written and directed by Antonio Campos.

Netflix released a tweet on their Twitter page with an image of the cover page of the script and the list of the film's sprawling cast. Included on the list are Tom Holland, Bill Skarsgard, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Robert Pattinson, Haley Bennett, Mia Wasikowska, Eliza Scanlen, Harry Melling, and Pokey LaFarge. The tweet ends with the announcement that the film hits Netflix on September 16, 2020. You can check out the tweet from Netflix below:

If Campos' previous work is any indication, we might be in for a pretty messed up and divisive movie. Campos previously gave us such films as AFTERSCHOOL, SIMON KILLER, and CHRISTINE, all of which have been pretty off the wall but equal parts fascinating. With this project, Campos is taking on his largest feat, especially with the sprawling nature of the cast involved.

THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME, based on the synopsis of the novel, is set in Ohio between the end of World War II and the beginning of the Vietnam War and follows a non-linear storyline of various disturbed people who suffer from the damages of the post-war, and crime. Oddly enough, another Marvel alum, Chris Evans, was cast in this film but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Evans personally recommended his CAPTAIN AMERICA co-star, Sebastian Stan, and he was ultimately asked to replace Evans.

Sounds like this is going to be one to watch and with a cast like this, I personally can't wait. Will YOU be watching THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME? The film hits Netflix on September 16, 2020.
