The MPAA has taken a break from sacrificing puppies at the alter of Satan himself to dish out some ratings. Seems they had to put up with a lot of bad language, the poor old crones…

DEATH RACE 2 has been Rated R for brutal violence, pervasive language and some sexual content. I wish it were “brutal sexual content”, “some language” and “pervasive violence” instead…

The slasher
HARPOON: WHALE WATCHING DISASTER
, which stars Gunnar Hansen, has been slapped with an R for bloody violence, language, some nudity and drug use. Hope that nudity isn’t strictly whale nudity…

DEAR MR. GACY, starring William Forsythe as the infamous serial killer, has gotten an R for disturbing sexual content including graphic dialogue, language throughout and some violence. If Forsythe gets naked, it should be rated “Shouldn’t Be Seen By Anybody Ever.”

The Charisma Carpenter-led thriller PSYCHOSIS gets an R for bloody violence, strong sexuality, nudity and language. After the first three, do they really need to throw in “language”?

Finally, Brad Anderson’s VANISHING ON 7th STREET gets an R for language. Wow, that’s hardcore. Guess they say f*ck more than twice. Certainly makes sense to give a film with bad language the same exact rating as a film with bloody violence and strong sexuality.
