My Little Pony: New animated feature shifts from Paramount to Netflix

Hasbro's upcoming My Little Pony movie is hoofing it on over from Paramount to Netflix. Originally scheduled to open in theaters on Sept. 24, 2021, Hasbro's Entertainment One recently sold the film to Netflix, which is where it will debut. While a release date has not been set, the film is expected to stream across several territories, with the exception of China.

Very little is known about the film thus far, including the title. My guess is that the movie will continue the adventures of Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Spike, as well as many of their dear friends from Equestria. How do I know so many of the My Little Pony character roster, you ask? Well, for one thing, Google. And, I happen to think that My Little Pony: The Movie was a lot of fun. That's right, I said it. At the time that I'd watched it, that movie put a big smile on my face. It also happened to earn $60.3 million in worldwide ticket sales, meaning that plenty of other people enjoyed it as well.

While I've no idea what lies ahead for the ponies in their new film, I've no doubt that it'll be just as adorable as the last. Maybe it'll be better. Who could say? Anyway, that's enough gushing out of me. The new film is expected to drop on Netflix before the end of the year, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
