The thought-provoking epic that was MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16 infected our airwaves last week in a pathetic attempt by MTV to merge its despicable reality show “My Super Sweet 16” with the kind of snarky, self-aware slasher flick that was last relevant in the late 90s. Seriously, this movie was about as fresh and up-to-date as URBAN LEGEND.
Yes, I watched it, and I talk a bit about it in the new AITH podcast, which will hit tomorrow. To give a sneak preview, at one point – after I’ve talked about how truly dreadful the thing is – Mr. Ammon asks me if, theoretically, it would be better in uncut form. I answer with a resounding NO! But those who were rightfully scared off by the prospect of watching this insipid non-movie on T.V. are getting a chance to see it that way anyway; head on over to ITUNES and you can download the Jacob Gentry film, uncut. I can’t imagine that it’s much gorier than the version shown on T.V., but I know that it won’t be any less obnoxious and idiotic. At least there won’t be 800 commercials…
With all that said, enjoy!
