Though its title may make it sound like a lighthearted romantic comedy, FUNNY GAMES is anything but. Starring Naomi Watts, the film is actually a remake of a 1997 thriller of the same name that follows a family that is captured at their country cabin and tortured (though more psychologically than HOSTEL-y). It’s a film that had some success but I’m curious to see how well it will translate considering some of the happenings in the third act (to say any more would spoil the movie).
