I was really hoping news would be busy enough to skip this one, no such luck. So, since we’ve written about it one more than one occasion, we might as well tell you that Neil Burger’s DIVERGENT has been tagged by Summit with a March 21, 2014 release date. Please tell me you don’t give a f*ck!

Here’s why:

DIVERGENT features a society that is divided into five factions that represent a particular virtue: Honesty, selflessness, bravery, perfection, peacefulness or intelligence. At the heart of the story is a 16-year-old girl who leaves her family for a rival faction, where she faces a brutal initiation, even as she keeps a secret that could lead to her death. But when unrest grows between the factions, she must decide whether to reveal her true self in order to save the ones she loves.

See what I mean? Plainly for the TWILIGHT/HUNGER GAMES crowd. Evan Daugherty adapted the script from the bestselling Veronica Roth YA novel. Production is slated to begin this coming March for its release the following.

Burger’s LIMITLESS star Anna Friel
