Neil Marshall, Darren Bousman and more team up for Halloween anthology

Get ready for more anthology driven horror films as a new series of interconnected stories are headed our way with the likes of of Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT) and Darren Bousman (SAW II, III and IV) leading the pack. Epic Pictures Group has come aboard to finance and produce TALES OF HALLOWEEN, which will collect ten segments from eleven directors, all set in a sleepy American suburb terrorized by ghouls, aliens, and killers one Halloween night. If you think this sounds cool, wait until you hear the rest of the talent coming on board.

Tapped to helm segments alongside Marshall and Bousman are Joe Begos (ALMOST HUMAN), Axelle Carolyn (SOULMATE), Adam Gierasch (NIGHT OF THE DEMONS), Andrew Kasch (NEVER SLEEP AGAIN: THE ELM STREET LEGACY) and John Skipp (STAY AT HOME DAD), Mike Mendez (BIG ASS SPIDER!), Dave Parker (THE HILLS RUN RED), Ryan Schifrin (ABOMINABLE), and Paul Solet (GRACE). Carolyn conceived of the project and will produce with Mendez and Epic’s Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson.

They’re even dubbing themselves “The October Society”, a name that I am totally cool with. Other than TRICK 'R TREAT, a Halloween-set anthology is something the horror genre could always use more of, so I say bring it on! With ABCs of DEATH and V/H/S at the forefront of the anthology comeback, this is as good a time as any to unleash something like TALES OF HALLOWEEN onto the horror community. It's a nice mix of veteran guys and up and coming directors, so it'll be interesting to see how each of their stories come together.

"The exciting thing is that these filmmakers are not only talented, but genuine fans of the genre and the holiday,” said Mike Mendez. “This project is a celebration of Horror & Halloween and we can't wait to invite you to our twisted cinematic party next year!"

Epic will be presenting TALES OF HALLOWEEN next month at AFM. Pre-production is in swing and the ten segments shoot in November.
