When I watched writer/director Michael Matteo Rossi's indie thriller CHASE, the pitch that occurred to me was "What if the lead character in DRIVE had been John Wick?"

The film does seem to take some stylistic inspiration from DRIVE, while its lead character (named Chase) is a badass hitman of the Wick variety… although, of course, since this was an indie production, Chase doesn't have as many people around to kill as Wick does.

Starring Damien Puckler, Aries Spears, Jessica Morris, Skye Townsend, Devanny Pinn, Richard Riehle, Paul Duke, Harry Hains, and Simeon Panda, CHASE has the following synopsis:

Chase is a cold calculated hitman whose best friend and mentor Miles looks at him like a golden racehorse. Things start to strain between the two once Chase's girlfriend Blair begins to try to form a wedge and have Chase distance himself from Miles, who she sees just as a user. Miles, being extremely cold himself, concocts a plan to keep Chase in line, but this results in absolute chaos for all the parties.

Rossi produced the film with Katrina Nelson and Jane Badler.

If you're in the mood to check out a cool, violent neon noir flick, CHASE is now available to rent or purchase through Amazon Prime.
