A series based on the The Witcher novels and video games is coming to Netflix, and while a premiere date has not been announced we may know when it will be announced. The series will be the focus of a panel at San Diego Comic Con later this month, and why would they spend time talking up how cool this show is going to be if they're not also going to let attendees know when they'll have a chance to watch it?

While we wait to see what sort of information comes out of that panel, Netflix has released teaser art for The Witcher as well as some first look images of the characters Geralt (played by Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Cholatra), and Ciri (Freya Allan).

Developed for Netflix by showrunner/executive producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher is

an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Other cast members include Jodhi May as Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla, Therica Wilson-Read as Sabrina, Emma Appleton as Renfri, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Lars Mikkelsen as Stregobor, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Maciej Musia? as Sir Lazlo, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara, and Anna Shaffer as Triss.

The Comic Con panel is scheduled to take place in Hall H at 2:15pm on July 19th. Yvette Nicole Brown will be moderating, and Hissrich will be on the panel with Cavill, Chalotra, and Allan.
