THE DARK TOWER will provide audiences with a Stephen King adaptation unlike any we’ve ever seen, trading out the suspense and horror for guns and explosions. The first trailer debuted to some mixed reactions, but there will plenty more bits see of footage rolling out over the next two months to try and get people pumped. On that note here are three new TV spots for the flick, with all three teasing the battle between The Gunslinger (Idris Elba) and the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey). Fight!

The spots probably won’t change the hearts of people who weren’t convinced by the first trailer, with many likening it to some sort of YA franchise starter. I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what this movie is intended to be, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t be an entertaining ride. The action looks sleek but not over-the-top, and Elba in particular looksbadass with those pistols of his. I doesn’t look tremendous, but it could be a welcome end-of-the-summer treat. At least that's what I tell myself at night.
