Neill Blomkamp's hotly anticipated ELYSIUM is only a week away, but the marketing blitz has one more big play to make with this new, extended trailer that reveals more Alice Braga and Sharlto Copley, as well as a peek at the munitions and "superpowers" that Matt Damon uses in the film. For those looking to steer clear of details, spoilers, etc., then I'd shy away from this one. However, most of it is just imagery without context, so I doubt it would ruin the movie for you if you watched the trailer. It just depends on your definition of spoilers, I suppose. For me, it just further enforces the notion that this movie is going to kick all forms of ass.

Take a look:

I had to rewatch this a few times to make sure I wasn't putting out redundant info, but when compared to the longer second trailer this definitely has some new bits. It just goes to show how confusing it can get when the marketing goes full tilt boogie. All that aside, there's really not much else for the true film geeks that's needed to sell this bad boy, but perhaps for average moviegoers some more incentive is needed.

ELYSIUM, starring Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Alice Braga, and William Fichtner opens on August 9, 2013.
