Last month, Entertainment Weekly revealed the face of the evil clown Pennywise as he'll be seen in MAMA director Andy Muschietti's two-part adaptation of the Stephen King novel IT. Famously portrayed by Tim Curry in the 1990 mini-series adaptation of IT, the new iteration of the character is being played by Bill Skarsgard, who looks quite creepy in the clown makeup.

Now Entertainment Weekly has gone even further, sharing an exclusive look at Skarsgard in full costume, giving us a look at what Pennywise looks like from head to booted toe. Wearing a costume designed by Janie Bryant, this take on Pennywise looks great to me, and will definitely be the stuff of nightmares for many people who lay eyes on it.

Through her design, Bryant wanted to get across the idea that Pennywise has been around for a long, long time. The costume mixes together influences from the Medieval, Renaissance, Elizabethan, and Victorian eras, incorporating "all these otherworldly past lives, if you will. He is definitely a clown from a different time."

Scripted by Gary Dauberman and Chase Palmer, IT will tell the story of

seven children known as The Losers Club who come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.

Skarsgard's co-stars include Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Owen Teague, Nicholas Hamilton, and Javier Botet.

IT part one reaches theatres on September 8, 2017.
