New killer Santa movie Slayed coming from Jim Klock and Terror Films

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT, about a slasher in a Santa Claus costume (watch it HERE), stirred up a lot of controversy when it was released in 1984, but that backlash hasn't stopped a steady stream of Santa slashers from being released over the decades – including sequels to and a remake of SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT. The latest Santa slasher to make news is SLAYED, an indie horror film that's coming to us from Terror Films and directors Jim Klock and Mike Capozzi.

Klock and Capozzi also star in SLAYED alongside Kyra Kennedy and Coel Mahal. Written by Klock, the film picks up

five years after a Christmas Eve massacre in Harris County, AZ, when a crazed killer returns to an impending condemned water treatment plant to terrorize and kill again. Only this time, the lone survivor from that tragic night is waiting to make this Santa-clad monster pay for what he did.

Klock produced the film through his company Code 3 Films, with Darrell Martinelli also producing. Phil Snow and Terror Films' Joe Dain serve as executive producers.

SLAYED is described as being "a cross between TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT". I'm totally on board to watch more killer Santa action, so I'll be watching for distribution information on this one.
