New Mary Poppins Returns trailer teases some underwater magic

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Wherever Mary Poppins goes she brings with her a bag of tricks and magic, and in the new movie MARY POPPINS RETURNS, she will be opening that bag an unleashing a world of wonder and lots and lots of dolphins. The new trailer for the movie showcases more of her wondrous abilities, which she will use to take us an audience down to the depths of the sea an onto the stage with dancing, animated penguins. Fun fact: She found that bag at a Goodwill for, like, six bucks.

MARY POPPINS RETURNS is shaping up to be one of those un-hateable end-of-the-year spectaculars that makes every audience member feel warm and joyful. Because of this, it will likely be a big ol’ hit at the box office, and probably a shoo-in for some major awards. The production design looks sensational, and Emily Blunt manages to wow me with each new piece of footage that comes out. Yeah, Disney is definitely going to end 2018 on a high note.

Here is the plot synopsis:

In Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns,” an all new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.
