Within the last week we learned that the FRIGHT NIGHT was going to be in 3D, and that the film is headed to theaters in October of 2011 (relive the magic HERE).

Today we have some extra exciting news for all you readers in and around the Albuquerque, New Mexico, area: extras casting is underway, as NM is doubling for Las Vegas, in the film so if you look like you could be in high school (movie high school, not real high school), or a stripper in Vegas, then here is your chance to shine!

According to On Location Vacation / On Location Casting, On Location Casting is looking for all types to appear as background actors in the film, no previous experience is necessary. They are looking for some specific types too, including 18+ year olds to look like younger high school students, 16 to 17 year olds, various high school clique types: nerds, jocks, cheerleaders, asians, stoners, etc., teacher types with professional attire, parents of high school students, Las Vegas Showgirls, poker players, vampire types, and more.

So if you’re nerdy asian vampire type, you could have your chance in the spotlight starring behind Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Imogen Poots (as seen below), Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Toni Collette in the remake. And in 3D, no less!

If I lived in the area and had a lot of time on my hands, I’d be there in a second. Nothing like getting paid to stand around or pretend to be in high school for 8 hours a day, right? Hells yeah.
