New photos revealed for Netflix’s upcoming Ju-On: Origins series

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

JU-ON is a classic Japanese horror franchise, which was remade for American audiences as THE GRUDGE – twice – with the last one coming out this year. However, it is still extremely popular in Japan (to the point that at one point the ghost from JU-ON fought the girl from RINGU in a FREDDY VS. JASON-esque mash-up), and now Netflix is trying to cash in on that popularity by making a new exclusive streaming series based on the property called JU-ON: ORIGINS. Here's the official synopsis:

The J-Horror classic franchise Ju-On was actually based on real events that occurred over four decades – and the truth is even more terrifying. Can the people haunted by this house escape from its curse? And what kind of grim incident occurred in this cursed house in the past?

Meanwhile, Netflix has also released a slew of official photos ahead of the series' streaming premiere on July 3rd, which you can check out below:

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original films? If so, how're you feeling about the upcoming Netflix series? Either way, sound off below!
