New Paranormal Activity 2 poster wants you to demand the film in your city

Despite its predecessor raking up truckloads of doe (over $100 million domestically), it seems Tod Williams’ PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 is following a similar grassroots marketing campaign. Call it a gimmick, a novelty, a way to gauge the strength of your audience, whatever…just as we saw earlier this morning, Paramount is soliciting fan-demand for theatrical exhibition of PA 2. Don’t believe us…peep the new one-sheet below.

But perhaps even more fascinating than the marketing itself is the fact that two PA 2 posters have premiered today. One via Fandango, the other via Empire. They’re the exact same image (which is also extremely redolent of the original PA poster), with one rockin’ the release date and “Demand It” tag, while the other nixes such info, simply going with a “Coming Soon” label. Both feature a superlative quote and familiar video-image of a dog and baby we’ve come to know from the trailer and website for the flick. Hmmm. Weirdo…

Trying to duplicate the success October 22nd – PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is written by Michael R. Perry and stars Katie Featherston. If so inclined, DEMAND THE FLICK TO BE SHOWN IN YOUR CITY HERE.
