A few weeks back we showed you the trailer to the upcoming thriller DON MCKAY (CHECK IT OUT HERE, YO!), from director Jake Goldberger, and starring Thomas Haden Church, Elisabeth Shue, and Melissa Leo. It was mysterious, it was thrilling, and it might have sold you on checking this sucker out on April 2nd, when it begins its limited run.
As we inch closer to the release date, we have the film’s new and improved poster to oogle at, as seen below. Shue in a nightgown, Church in deep thought, both disappearing in the the grass in front of what appears to be a dead body. I’m digging the poster for the most part, except for the small fact that it’s so ridiculously photoshopped that it’s distracting. But otherwise… it works!
As a recap, DON MCKAY goes like this: Don McKay (Church), a high school janitor who leaves his hometown after a tragedy, returns 25 years later to rekindle a romance with his old flame, who is dying, but this homecoming brings McKay more than he bargained for.
There’s something effed up going on there, I just know it! Enjoy the poster below, and get ready for DON MCKAY in theaters (however limited) April 2nd.
