Anchor Bay has released a new poster for THE DEAD, which you can see below. The zombie road movie, shot on location under harsh conditions in West Africa, will open in the U.K. on September 2 before coming to U.S. theaters in October.

The film is written and directed by brothers Howard J. Ford and Jonathan Ford. It stars Rob Freeman, Prince David Osei and David Dontoh. The film will have a special screening at FrightFest in the UK on August 27, in which the Ford brothers will provide a live commentary.

The story is centered around the journey of American Air Force engineer Lieutenant Brian Murphy, the sole survivor of a plane crash, who has to run the gauntlet across Africa, battling with the living dead. He joins forces with local military man Sergeant Daniel Dembele who is desperately searching for his missing son. They must fight together if they are to survive the flesh-eating horrors of the bush.
