New promo for Beauty and the Beast, introduced by the stars themselves

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Disney's love-letter to Stockholm Syndrome, is going to be the next animated film of theirs to get the live-action treatment. I mean, after MALEFICENT, CINDERELLA, and JUNGLE BOOK made stupid amounts of money, it makes sense they'd be cranking these things out (with MULAN and LITTLE MERMAID already in the works).

Anyway, a new promo was released showcasing a butt-load of new footage, and is introduced by the stars themselves, Emma Watson (Belle) and Dan Stevens (The Beast). Let's have a look-see:

Wow, everything seems to be a 1-to-1 of the original cartoon (even JUNGLE BOOK changed some things around). So if that's what you're looking for – you're in luck! I mean, I'm impressed by the effects and everything, but it does seem like a missed opportunity to me. But to each their own.

Either way, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be our guest March 17th, 2017.
