New Red State poster introduces James Parks’ Mordechai

Another scratchy, ominous poster for Kevin Smith’s RED STATE has been released, this time by the folks over at Spinoff Online. Here we see “Mordechai”, played by James Parks. Parks is the son of Michael Parks, who of course is the lead villain in this film; the two shared screen time in KILL BILL and DEATH PROOF, and I’m guessing that James plays his father’s son once again in RED STATE.

(I must mention that Spinoff Online’s bid of $850 goes to the South East Queensland Flood Relief Fund. Click that link if you want to contribute to the good cause.)

Red State begins by following three horny high-school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges. But what begins as a fantasy takes a dark turn as they come face-to-face with a terrifying “holy” force with a fatal agenda.

RED STATE will have its Sundance premiere on Sunday, January 23rd. It stars Michael Angarano, Kerry Bishe, Nicholas Braun, Kyle Gallner, John Goodman, Melissa Leo, Michael Parks, Kevin Pollak and Stephen Root.
