New Skyline clip brings us more aliens, explosions and Eric Balfour

SKYLINE is almost upon us. I started out pretty stoked for the alien invasion flick, but the more I see from it the more.. let’s say reasonable my expectations become. This probably isn’t going to be 15 different flavors of kick-ass – but it still might be a good time; based on the over-the-top clips we’ve seen so far, that doesn’t seem like a mountain too high…

The funny thing about SKYLINE is that it’s always looking like a different movie to me. At first it looked like it was INDEPENDENCE DAY or WAR OF THE WORLDS type epic… Then it sort of began to resemble STARSHIP TROOPERS… Now, with this clip, I’m reminded of TRANSFORMERS – especially the last bit, in which a plane does a very unlikely somersault over two people (it even stole Michael Bay’s lens flares). It’s ridiculous, but I still maintain that it could be enjoyable. Hell, maybe it’ll even be so bad, it’s good.
