New Spawn movie

I’m not sure why people are leaping all over this like it is news because it isn’t ( I reported this almost a year ago) but just in case you missed it last time, Todd McFarlane, the dude who created the comic phenomenon Spawn, wants to take a proper stab at making a movie based on his guy. He is currently working on that and has several offers ranging from big studios to indie projects. He says:

“It’s not a comic book movie, it’s just a scary movie, a creepy movie. Everything’s real except for one element, which happens to be the character we know as Spawn. So it’s not going to be super villain vs superhero or any of that stuff, it’s just going to be a ‘tight’ movie.”

I’ve been away from comics for ages now but as I remember it, Spawn is f-cking awesome. He is a cool character, there are cool villains, and the mythology is replete with hot chicks with their tits hanging out of those gothy bone finger bra things. And no problem with casting either since I was born to play a tough as nails CIA agent resurrected by the devil to do his dirty work. People often tell me that my life is so close to that of Spawn’s that studios were crazy not to cast me the first time around.
