Last month we caught wind of a few story details and official title for the 3rd Riddick film, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: DEAD MAN STALKING. A couple days prior to that, we even saw some preliminary concept art for the film that included trisons and mud demons. Cool shite! But now, thanks to the demented whackos over at Bloody-Disgusting, we have an official synopsis for the film. Get ready to be excited!
Let’s jump right into this sumbitch:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
Given that crunch, and prior reports of the filming swinging toward a hard-R rating, we could have a pretty kickass third entry on our hands. Hopefully David Twohy hasn’t lost a grip on the material after 6 years or so.
