New trailer for Raised by Wolves offers more android vs human weirdness

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Earlier this month we got our first look at Raised by Wolves, an upcoming sci-fi/drama series set to debut on HBO Max in September which comes to us from executive producer/director Ridley Scott and creator/showrunner Aaron Guzikowski. The series centers on two androids who have been tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet, but when the burgeoning colony of humans is threatened to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.

HBO Max has dropped a new trailer for Raised by Wolves, which gives a bigger look at the central conflict between the androids, known as Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim) and humans, who are led by Marcus (Travis Fimmel). It seems that much of Earth was destroyed in a religious war and Mother and Father are raising (and birthing) their human children to be atheist, but when an ark full of human survivors track them down, the seemingly idyllic peace is shattered as mysterious are revealed. The series looks amazing and completely unlike anything I've seen on TV before, so I am absolutely down to check this out.

Raised by Wolves will debut on HBO Max on September 3, 2020.
