If you need a break from rewatching that new STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer, then this new one for Ridley Scott's EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS is sure to cleanse (flood?) the cinematic palate. Focusing on the epic scope and absolute awe that is sure to fill the screen, this new trailer has a more energetic and pulse-pounding tone than the previous ones (which were still pretty cool as is). We all know that Scott is a master of this kind of thing, but that doesn't make it any less cool to see him do it again.

"Ready yourselves!":

Man, killer waves seem to be in vogue this fall season, eh (re: INTERSTELLAR and this)? Not that I'm complaining. Shit, after James Cameron's better-than-the-original ending to THE ABYSS lost it's giant wave finale its cool to them making the final cut elsewhere (DEEP IMPACT had a hell of a flood, too). As an unabashed fan of Scott's, this is a can't miss for the final month of the year and if I could choose only one movie to see in theaters, this would be it. Opinions vary there, but that's mine. Toss in Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, and Jesse Pinkman and you've got yourself a ticket sold.

EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS washes into theaters on December 12, 2014.
