VIRAL, the latest genre film from PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 and 4 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, will be available for viewing through Video On Demand exactly one month from today, on July 29th. So what better day could there be to release a new trailer for the film?

That trailer can be viewed below, and while it makes the film look quite appealing to me and features blood, a big explosion, and some absolutely disgusting imagery, one of the things I like the most about it is the reason given for the movie's R rating: "Disturbing violent content, some language including sexual references, and teen partying". Because someone might not mind watching disturbing violent content, but the sight of teen partying might be crossing the line for them.

Scripted by Christopher Landon and Barbara Marshall, VIRAL centers on a pair of siblings played by Sofia Black-D Elia and Analeigh Tipton.

Teenaged sisters Emma and Stacey live a normal life, until their small suburban neighborhood is stricken with a mysterious parasitic virus. As the disease rapidly spreads throughout the town, the two band together to barricade themselves from infection. But it may already to be too late – when the virus enters their home, the sisters are faced with an impossible choice: protect each other, or survive the virus.

Judging by the trailer below, this is definitely a film I would like to watch once it hits VOD.
