Perhaps looking to tunnel his way out of B-movie obscurity, Nick Stahl (shown right) has landed a gig on Fox’s pilot episode of supernatural drama “Locke & Key.” The program was originally slated to air this summer, but has recently been bumped to the fall.
According to Deadline, Stahl will play Rendell’s younger brother Duncan Locke, an art teacher, who lives nearby and frequently visits Nina and the kids and who strangely has few memories of his time growing up in Keyhouse.
Brought to the small screen from Joe Hill’s comic by producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci – “Locke & Key” shapes up:
After the murder of their father, Tyler, Kinsey (Sarah Bolger), and Bode Locke relocate with their mother Nina Locke (Miranda Otto) to the family estate of Keyhouse, located in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. Sam Lesser, one of the teens who murdered Mr. Locke, is in a juvenile detention center and, by gazing in water, communicates with a supernatural force that promises to free him. Bode Locke, the youngest of the family, uncovers The Ghost Door, which separates his spirit from his body.
Mark Romanek will direct the pilot episode, which, again, now looks to release this fall.
