After years of maybes and speculation, I’m glad that SCREAM 4 is officially coming together–let’s just hope it lives up to the hype (doubtful, but a can dream, can’t he?). A new actor was added to the cast over the weekend, and while I have no idea who this joker is, something tells me he might be a big deal… depending on which circle you’re in.

According to his TWITTER PAGE, Nico Tortorella has joined the cast of SCREAM 4. In his own words, Huge news today!!!! Just officially got cast in scream 4!!!! Today is always the best day of my life.

Great news for Nico, sad news that he had to use that cliched line about today being the best day of his life. What a tool. This guy is best known for his role in THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE: TBL, which was a pretty awful show on the CW about a bunch of rich people who suck. He was also in something called MAKE IT OR BREAK IT. Apparently, he made it….

So far the cast of SCREAM 4 includes Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin. And that doesn’t even mention all the cameos. Let’s hope that Nico here is one of the first to die, if only because I want him to Tweet that the day his character is slaughtered on screen as being the best day of his life.

Filming is expected to commence in Michigan at the end of the month. Stick around for more news and updates from SCREAM 4 as we hear them!
