Nicolas Winding Refn’s Neon Demon scares up Alessandro Nivola

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Underrated screen and stage actor Alessandro Nivola (above) has been added to the cast of NEON DEMON, Nicolas Winding Refn's new female-centric horror picture.

Deadline has it that Nivola will play a fashion impresario who taps Elle Fanning as his muse. In addition to Fanning, Nivola joins Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Abbey Lee, Jena Malone, Bella Heathcote and Karl Glusman in the flick. Here's the newly minted logline:

When aspiring model Jesse moves to Los Angeles, her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will take any means necessary to get what she has.

Devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women? Yup, definitely sounds like LA.

NEON DEMON has been in production for about two weeks now. Word is filming will end in May for a March 2016 release. Stay posted for updates as production moves along.
