No Man of God trailer: Elijah Wood, Luke Kirby star in Ted Bundy film

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Amber Sealey's dramatic thriller No Man of God, starring Luke Kirby as infamous serial Ted Bundy and Elijah Wood as FBI Agent Bill Hagmaier, is set to receive a theatrical and on demand release from RLJE Films on August 27th. In anticipation of this release, a trailer has been released online and can be seen above, while the film's poster can be seen below.

Based on real transcripts and conversations between Bundy and Hagmaier, the film has the following synopsis:

In 1980, Ted Bundy was sentenced to death by electrocution. In the years that followed, he agreed to disclose the details of his crimes, but only to one man. During the early days of the agency’s criminal profiling unit, FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier met with the incarcerated Ted Bundy in the hopes of understanding the psychology of the serial killer and providing closure for the victim’s families. As Hagmaier delves into Bundy’s dark and twisted mind, a strange and complicated relationship develops that neither man expected.

Kit Lesser wrote the screenplay. Kirby and Wood are joined in the cast by Aleksa Palladino and Robert Patrick.

Wood produced No Man of God with Daniel Noah, Lisa Whalen, and Kim Sherman. Whalen had this to say about the film:

No Man of God explores a familiar subject through a different lens. Through the brilliant direction of Amber Sealey, the film poses challenging questions about the dangers of our obsession with serial killers like Bundy. RLJE Films immediately recognized what was special about this film. We're thrilled to be working with them again."

RLJE's Mark Ward added:

No Man of God explores FBI agent Bill Hagmaier's actual interrogation of Ted Bundy. A story that has never been told, No Man of God brings a new and revealing perspective to the Ted Bundy story."

This looks like a movie that will be worth checking out when it's released next month.
