So a press release for a cool sounding Swiss thriller called STRESSEURS just came our way, as did a pretty sweet one-sheet for the flick. The movie comes from feature first timer Olivier Beguin, who until know, has helmed a number of short films (DEAD BONES) in his native Switzerland. You guys down to hear what STRESSEURS is all about? Let’s go…

From French scribes Karim Chériguène and Jean-Philippe Certa, based upon an idea by Beguin and Chériguène – STRESSEURS centers on five students in criminology motivated by various objectives, who embark on a road trip on the footsteps of a serial killer who vanished 25 years ago. They will soon give up to their most primal impulses. The flick is said to use familiar survival and slasher codes in order to offer an original take on the serial killer figure.

Sounds like a damn good time to me. I like the idea of using knowledgeable students for a change, as opposed to a bevy of stoned-out horn-dogs with absolutely no leg up when it comes to defeating a foe. Know what I mean?

STRESSEURS will be shot in Switzerland, France and other parts of Europe at the end of the year for a 2011 fall release.

Miss Sweden 2009!
