Olsen is Beastly

JoBloJoBlo

I remember the exact moment I learned that Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker in THE DARK KNIGHT. I felt excited, I felt unsure, I felt alive and invigorated by the cinematic possibilities. I have not yet felt that way since, until now. Mary-Kate Olsen is set to star alongside Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in BEASTLY, a film based on Alex Flinn’s retelling of “Beauty and the Beast” set in modern-day New York. Daniel Barnz (no relation) is directing from his own script, in which Olsen’s character curses a young cocky stud, transforming him into everything he despises. I always knew Mary-Kate would win a posthumus Oscar, and with her casting in BEASTLY, I have once again been vindicated. Now where’s my chocolate?
