Something tells me that we’ll be having updates for LORDS OF SALEM throughout the rest of the shoot and post-production. Rob Zombie likes to keep us updated on how things are going. Well this weekend he hit us up with some pretty major updates, ones that included an actor who had to pull out, his replacement and another new addition.
Firstly Bruce Dern due to scheduling conflicts had to bow out, and his replacement is another Bruce, with Bruce Davidson. Now last week I showed you the first behind the scenes picture from the film and he was there, I speculated he was a new addition but I didn’t imagine he was a replacement. I am sure he will do the role justice.
The other new member of the cast is a former member of the original ‘Brady Brunch’, middle brother Peter also known as Christopher Knight has joined. I have to say this is an interesting choice, considering his very odd post Brady’s career, but who knows he might be absolutely awesome. Zombie tends to think outside the box with his films and particularly his characters; the wide range of talent in the cast should make it a memorable experience.

I got some good news and I got some bad news. The bad news is that Bruce Dern has fallen out of THE LORDS OF SALEM due to a scheduling conflict. But fear not! We have some great news.. BRUCE DAVIDSON has jumped in to save the day and we all couldn’t be more thrilled!
Bruce is known to movie goers from his many appearances in everything from blockbuster’s like X-Men to Robert Altman’s Short Cuts and of course his rat-loving turn in the horror classic Willard. I personally first remember seeing Bruce on TV as Dean Torrence in the Jan and Dean bio pic Deadman’s Curve.
Pork chops and applesauce head to Salem! What the fuck does that mean? Of course it means Christopher Knight has joined our group. Chris plays Keith Williams aka Lobster Joe the host of Lobster Joe’s Fishy Fun Show a staple of local Salem television.
Chris has appeared in everything from Happy Days and Gunsmoke to The Bionic Woman and Chips. But we all know Chris best as Peter Brady from the legendary show THE BRADY BUNCH.
Davidson and Knight join Ken Foree, Billy Drago, Richard Lynch, John Five, Lisa Marie, Maria Conchita Alonso, Dee Wallace, Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Ernest Thomas, Barbara Crampton and Jeff Daniel Phillips in the cast.
