CASINO ROYALE baddie Mads Mikkelsen has got some serious time-travel issues in THE DOOR (DIE TUR), a German thriller that was just shown at the Cannes Film Festival. While no reviews have seeped out, it sounds like a pretty cool little thriller, in the vein of TIMECRIMES – which is A-OK in my world, as that’s one of my favorite thrillers in recent years. Twitch got their hands on a still and a new poster for THE DOOR, which you can see here.

What’s this bad boy about? Formerly successful painter David (Mads Mikkelsen) has lost control of his life after being responsible for the death of his seven-year-old daughter Leonie through a fatal decision. One day, five years later, he discovers a door which will give him the opportunity to start all over again. However, what initially appears to be a wonderful chance for a new beginning soon turns out to be a veritable horror scenario, since not everything in the past is quite as it seems.

In addition to Mikkelsen, THE DOOR stars Jessica Schwarz, who I just had to post a picture of. I mean criminy! Check it out below Mads’ bizarro mural.
