Pacific Rim and The Hobbit tease their Comic-Con presence with these two posters

Certain people are going to Comic-Con. I am not one of those people. I’m trying not to be sad, and it’s not working because shit like this keeps cropping up.

Notice how the PACIFIC RIM poster simply states “from director Guillermo Del Toro” – it doesn’t state what he’s directed or how movie goers might know him, but instead just his name. Does that mean we live in a world where he has finally received his full due and is now known well-enough amongst the public to be recognized by name alone? Because if so, that’s an amazing world to live in.

PACIFIC RIM hits hard on July 12th, 2013.
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY begins its quest on December 14th.
