Paramount sets dates for two more Terminator movies

TERMINATOR: GENISYS is just under a year away from release and already Paramount has set released dates for two more sequels. That’s has to be a good vote of confidence for the upcoming installment right? While there are no official titles for the sixth and seventh films in the franchise, they’re being referred to as TERMINATOR 2 and TERMINATOR 3. Confused? The two sequels in the series won’t debut until 2017 and 2018

TERMINATOR: GENISYS – July 1, 2015
TERMINATOR 2 – May 19, 2017
TERMINATOR 3 – June 29, 2018

The first sequel has its date all itself two weeks after one of the Untitled Marvel movies and a week ahead of THE LEGO MOVIE 2. T3 arrives a week before another Marvel movie. The plan is to film the two sequels back to back, so they are really hoping the first film in the rebooted trilogy is successful. Alan Taylor directs TERMINATOR: GENISYS starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in his title role, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke,and J.K. Simmons.
