Park Chan-Wook (OLDBOY) has been working on a vampire film and it was announced today that he will receive funding from both Focus Features and Universal. The film is called THIRST and sees a failed medical experiment turn a priest into a vampire. As his life falls apart, he struggles to maintain his sanity.
Well, this is sweet since Park Chan-Wook is the freaking man. It’s not often I get to report on something I’m legitimately happy about – usually I fake it. Vince Vaughn in another romantic comedy about Christmas? Am I thrilled? Erm how about hell yeah?? That guy is the funniest. That time he said that thing about something but he dragged it on and on way longer than was comfortable and then said ‘good talk’ at the end? Priceless.
