Johnny Depp It seems Terry Gilliam managed to avoid sending his upcoming directorial effort THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR. PARNASSUS into an unfortunate production hell after the shocking death of Heath Ledger, who was starring in the film. There were rumors that given the film’s magical elements, Gilliam could save the film and preserve Ledger’s final performance by simply casting someone else and use an appropriately fantastical explanation for the discrepancy. They all likely offered their services as a personal tribute to Ledger.
