Patrick Wilson (WATCHMEN) and Liv Tyler (THE INCREDIBLE HULK) have joined Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”) and Terrence Howard (IRON MAN) in first-time writer/director Matthew Chapman’s THE LEDGE.
The film, which just began filming in Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, is “the story of a man (Hunnam) standing on a high-rise ledge who insists he must jump by noon as the policeman below (Howard) tries to manage the situation.”
Director Matthew Chapman tells THR, “‘The Ledge’ examines the different and sometimes dangerous beliefs people adopt as a means of surviving emotional trauma.” Producer Michael Mailer (BLOOD AND BONE) turgidly adds, “As more and more films succumb to the visual wizardry of 3D, ‘The Ledge’ explores the fourth dimension: the interior life of tortured souls hovering over the precipice of emotional nullity. This film is the reason why I became an independent filmmaker and why I continue to suffer in the trenches of independent filmmaking.”
Patrick Willson has three projects in works: THE SWITCH with Jennifer Aniston, THE A-TEAM (which I had no idea he was in until now, playing the character “Lynch”), and MORNING GLORY with Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford. The lovely Liv Tyler has got the James Gunn action-comedy SUPER with Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, and Kevin Bacon.
