Paul Reubens is back in the first trailer for Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny. Thus begins PEE-WEE’S BIG HOLIDAY and Paul Reubens‘ return to what made him a star. For those of you who grew up watching Pee-Wee’s Playhouse or PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE, get ready to rekindle some of that nostalgia!

BIG ADVENTURE still holds up after all these years, so with Judd Apatow producing, I’m remaining hopeful that this one will serve up some laughs in only the way Pee-Wee can. As far as the trailer goes, I couldn’t take my mind off of how caked up in make-up the man is, but what can ya do in your 60s? In any case, I can’t wait to see if Reubens still has it in him in 2 months’ time!

PEE-WEE’S BIG HOLIDAY hits Netflix on March 18, 2016.
