Paul Rudd is your Idiot Brother

JoBloJoBlo

Paul Rudd has signed on to star in the upcoming indie comedy MY IDIOT BROTHER, in which he’ll star as the idiot brother (duh) to three sisters. The titular brother finally gets fed up living with his overbearing mother so he moves out and crashes the homes of his sisters, wreaking havoc along the way. It sounds a little something like YOU, ME AND DUPREE except that movie was terrible and I’m hoping for better things out of this film.

BROTHER will be directed by Jesse Peretz, a former member of The Lemonheads who may be best known for directing music videos for Foo Fighters (the Mentos-inspired “Big Me”) and Nada Surf’s “Popular.” Peretz directed Rudd in the 2002 indie film THE CHATEAU and the two have remained friends since.

Rudd has DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS and HOW DO YOU KNOW? both set for release later this year. He sadly doesn’t have ANCHORMAN 2 on his to-do list anywhere. At least not yet. Filming on BROTHER is set to begin this July in New York City.
