This marks the third article in as many days for Paco Plaza & Jaume Balaguero’s rabid zombie flick [REC] 2, and I for one couldn’t be more stoked. Two days ago we were treated to an incendiary new clip from the film, and yesterday we saw an off-kilter “first look” featurette. Add to those a fresh new look we have below (courtesy of STYD) and you can see why [REC] 2 just leapfrogged PIRANHA 3-D as my 3rd most anticipated flick of the summer (behind INCEPTION and PREDATORS).
In the new restricted clip, watch a youngish pissed off zombie catch some of the most graphically bloody comeuppance I’ve seen in a while (at least for preview clip). Seriously, this new stint is no f*ckin’ joke!
Spreading across theaters July 9th, [REC] 2 continues:
Only minutes since the authorities lost contact with those trapped inside the virus-stricken apartment block, now completely sealed off from the outside world. Chaos reigns outside and a SWAT team, equipped with video cameras, has been sent in to try and control the situation. However, no one is prepared for the evil that awaits them and, once again, they must keep recording…no matter what!
