Earlier this month, Raja Gosnell signed on to direct the Disney comedy SOUTH OF THE BORDER and recently the SCOOBY DOO director found his muse – Piper Perabo. The film is a live action comedy centering on an uppity Beverly Hills Chihuahua that gets lost in Mexico and must rely on promises of green cards to find her way back. Perabo will presumably be playing the Chihuahua’s owner or the border agent who arrests the dog for smuggling illegal alien animals into the country (hey, even animals have to abide by immigration policies). Perabo was last seen going unnoticed in the Diane Keaton-starring dramedy BECAUSE I SAID SO, can next be seen in the apocalyptic thriller CARRIERS and has the romantic thriller THE HEAVEN PROJECT coming up.
